2012 SUMMER CAMP PROGRAMS - July 16- 20, July 23 - 27
Ages: 3-5 years
$135 per camp
**Note: Children may enroll in a morning and afternoon camp which will include free lunch and nap time.

CAMP 1 - YOUNG NATURE ARTIST’S CAMP 9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Children will be guided to create nature inspired art using a variety of natural materials such as leaves, mud and food coloring; and a variety of techniques such as collage, printing and modeling and a variety of tools such as twigs, feathers and ice. The curriculum is a themed exploration of the natural world leading to an artistic response expressing our wonder at the diversity of life. Camp experiences will include stories, music, drama, play, and of course, art. This camp is designed to foster the total expressive potential of each child in an emotionally safe and environmentally friendly setting. There is an art exhibition and celebration at the close of the camp.

CAMP 2 - YOUNG NATURALIST CAMP 9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Our registered wildlife preserve campus is home to many four, six and eight legged creatures. This camp will focus on getting to know insects, arachnids and reptiles, all part of summer life in The Woodlands. Children love playing with doodlebugs, lady bugs and crickets. Lizards and toads fascinate them. There’s more kind of ants than just fire ant in Texas. Activities will include hands-CAMP 3 - YOUNG ECOLOGIST CAMP 12:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Children can teach us how to take care of the Earth, protecting their future. This camp explores the Earth: sun, water, air, soil, weather, the plants and animals. We talk about resources and how we use them. Children will make crafts from recycled materials, create art projects from “trash” and adorn themselves with festive finery. Along with learning about caring for animals and the environment, children will sing songs, play outdoor games, and put on an ecological celebration to close the camp experience.
